Item 7.01   Regulation FD Disclosure.

United Continental Holdings, Inc. (“UAL”), the holding company whose primary subsidiary is United Airlines, Inc. (“United,” and together with UAL, the “Company”), is providing guidance regarding its financial and operational trends in connection with a presentation by Gerald Laderman, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of the Company, and Dave Bartels, Vice President, Pricing and Revenue Management of United, at the Cowen and Company 11th Annual Global Transportation Conference on September 5, 2018.  As previously announced, this presentation will be webcast.

The Company now expects third-quarter 2018 consolidated passenger unit revenue to be near the high end of the previously provided guidance range of up 4.0 percent to 6.0 percent compared to the third-quarter of 2017. The Company also expects pre-tax margin excluding special charges and the mark-to-market impact of equity investments(1) to be near the high end of the previously provided guidance range of 8.0 percent to 10.0 percent, despite higher commodity fuel prices in the third quarter pushing the expected consolidated average aircraft fuel price towards the high end of the previously provided guidance range of $2.27-$2.32 per gallon.

The information in this Item 7.01 is being furnished and shall not be deemed to be “filed” for purposes of Section 18 of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, as amended (the “Exchange Act”), or otherwise subject to the liabilities of that Section and shall not be deemed incorporated by reference into any registration statement or other document filed pursuant to the Securities Act of 1933, as amended, except as shall be expressly set forth by specific reference in such filing.
