    AMARC ARRANGES $500,000 FINANCING

December 19, 2008, Vancouver, BC - Amarc Resources Ltd. ("Amarc" or the "Company") (TSX Venture: AHR; OTCBB: AXREF) announces that the Company has arranged a private placement of up to 5,000,000 equity units (the "Units") at a price of $0.10 per Unit. Each Unit comprises one flow-through common share and one non-flow-through warrant. Each warrant is exercisable to purchase one additional common share at a price of $0.10 for a 24 month period. Insiders of the Company will subscribe for all of the Units. Proceeds from the offering will be used for Canadian exploration expenses. The financing is subject to TSX Venture acceptance.
 
Amarc Resources Ltd. is a Vancouver-based exploration and development company, focused on making the next major new mineral deposit discovery in the province of British Columbia. Amarc is affiliated with Hunter Dickinson Services Inc., the personnel and management of which have enjoyed considerable success in BC through their involvement with the Golden Bear, Mt. Milligan, Kemess, Prosperity, Gibraltar and Harmony deposits. Hunter Dickinson expects to further its B.C. success through Amarc.
