Under the Confidentiality and Securities Trading Policy, directors, officers and headquarters employees must first obtain clearance from the Legal Department prior to purchasing or selling Airgas securities or exercising Airgas stock options. In addition, Section 16 persons are reminded that we are currently in a blackout period and options can therefore only be exercised by those individuals with cash and the resulting shares then held. Airgas makes no recommendation regarding whether you should exercise your options at this time. Any decision should be made in consultation with your personal financial advisor.

If you have any questions regarding the above, please feel free to contact Merrill Lynch or call Judy Pellegrino in the Airgas Legal Department at 610-902-6249.
