TASEKO CHANGES FISCAL YEAR
END AND ANNOUNCES
FOURTH QUARTER EARNINGS RELEASE DATE
October 9, 2008, Vancouver, BC - Taseko Mines Limited (TSX:
TKO; AMEX: TGB) ("Taseko" or the "Company") today announced
that it will change its fiscal year end to December 31st, from
its current fiscal year end of September 30th.
Taseko is making this change to align its fiscal year more closely with the
industry standard. This change will take place immediately with the October
to December quarter bridging into the new calendar year end.
Taseko will release its fourth quarter results to September 30, 2008 after
market close on Thursday, November 6 and will host a conference call on Friday,
November 7 at 11:00 a.m. Eastern Time (8:00 a.m. Pacific) to discuss these
results. The conference call may be accessed by dialing (877) 719-9786, or
