Item 8.01 Other Events.

On April 15, 2010, First Financial Northwest, Inc. (“Company”), the holding company for First Savings Bank Northwest (“Bank”), announced that it expects to report a net loss of approximately $17.0 million to $19.0 million for the first quarter of 2010.  The primary reasons for this net loss include the provision for loan losses and an anticipated valuation allowance related to the Company’s deferred tax asset.  The Company plans to record approximately $12 million to $14 million in provision for loan losses for the first quarter of 2010, primarily due to continued decreases in updated appraisal values, and real estate collateral securing the Company’s nonperforming loans.  The full text of the press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and incorporated herein by reference.
