The 1000 Books Foundation is thrilled to celebrate the second year of its impactful partnership with WAYB, the creators of innovative, portable car seats and family travel gear. Together, they continue to promote the “1000 Books Before Kindergarten” early literacy challenge, fostering a love for reading and literacy in young children while laying a strong foundation for lifelong learning.

Building on the success of last year’s collaboration, WAYB’s dedication to giving back to the community remains steadfast. Through their generous support, libraries nationwide gain access to the “1000 Books Before Kindergarten” complete phonics course. This comprehensive educational resource equips libraries and educators with essential tools to encourage early reading and phonics skill development among young learners.

In addition to renewing their commitment to the phonics course, WAYB continues to supply an assortment of “WAYB Collection” items to select participating libraries. The WAYB Collection of items serve as exciting incentives for children achieving reading milestones in the challenge. Designed for both everyday use and family adventures, the WAYB Collection features thoughtful construct to help families stay organized on the go — whether for park playdates or weekend trips.

“We are proud to continue our partnership with the 1000 Books Foundation for a second year,” said Laura Sauls, Brand Adventure Director at WAYB. “Our mission aligns with theirs — to inspire a love of reading in young children. By providing resources and rewards, we hope to empower families and help foster the next generation of curious, imaginative learners.”

This second year of collaboration underscores the shared commitment of WAYB and the 1000 Books Foundation to early childhood education and literacy. By working together, they aim to ensure every child has the opportunity to explore the magical world of books and embark on a lifelong journey of discovery and knowledge.
