America’s Most Responsible Companies were selected based on publicly available key performance indicators derived from CSR Reports, Sustainability Reports, and Corporate Citizenship Reports as well as an independent survey of over 11,000 U.S. residents. The ranking focuses on a holistic view on corporate responsibility that considers the three areas of ESG (environment, social and corporate governance). The analysis was carried out in a 4-phase process, starting with a pool of the 2,000 largest public companies that were screened by different criteria.
