Lafayette Real Estate Awarded Best National Single-Family Rental and Build-to-Rent 2023 Platform of the Year

Thibault Adrien Named SFR Chief Executive Officer of the Year

Lafayette Real Estate, a vertically integrated Single-Family Rental (SFR) and Build-to-Rent (BTR) asset manager founded in 2011, received two awards at the 2nd Annual SFR Industry Awards held during the Information Management Network (IMN) SFR Conference in Scottsdale, Arizona:

  • Best National SFR/BTR Company of the Year
  • CEO of the Year for Thibault Adrien (Lafayette's Founder & CEO)

These awards are a testament to the quality and vision of Lafayette's SFR/BTR strategy during 2023. The company found ways to allocate capital towards its BTR development strategy in spite of the challenging market environment while investing meaningfully in its business' infrastructure, including its Team, Technology, and the launch of Marquis Homes, Lafayette's homebuilding affiliate.

"It is exciting to be recognized as one of the best companies in the high-growth single-family rental sector! While the unprecedented macroeconomic conditions in 2023 made it a challenging year for real estate investments in general, we were able to allocate capital and continue to invest in the scalability and sustainability of our business," stated Mr. Adrien. "These awards also recognize the value created by Lafayette over the last 12 years for our team members, partners, investors, residents, and the communities in which Lafayette has been building, renovating, and managing homes.”

These recognitions also apply to Brandywine Homes USA, Lafayette's property management arm, and Marquis Homes, which was created last year to further internalize the development and construction of Lafayette's Build-to-Rent (BTR) communities.

"We are profoundly grateful to our investors, some of whom have trusted us for over 10 years, our institutional capital partners, who have given meaning to the word partnership, and to our Lafayette team members who work day in and day out to create value for all our stakeholders," remarked Mr. Adrien.

Chris Mataja, Lafayette's COO, added: "Today we celebrate, but tomorrow this will just be part of our history and our new baseline. As we move ahead, we will continue to embrace the opportunities and overcome any challenges. We work to improve every day and to carry the values that have driven our success to date: being entrepreneurial, transparent, and disciplined."
