TriMas (NASDAQ: TRS) today announced that its TriMas Packaging group has retained the Gold level rating for its Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) initiatives. This achievement places TriMas Packaging’s U.S.-based sites, assessed under the name Rieke LLC, in the top 5% of more than 130,000 companies assessed by EcoVadis globally, highlighting the company’s commitment to sustainable and responsible business practices.

EcoVadis is a globally trusted leader in business sustainability assessments and its methodology is based on international sustainability standards, including the Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact, the International Labour Organization (ILO) conventions, the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standards and the ISO 26000 standard. The EcoVadis scorecard evaluates companies across 21 criteria, grouped into four core themes: Environment, Labor & Human Rights, Ethics and Sustainable Procurement.
