The author is now eighty-five years old and retired from the lumber business in the ’90s. He has had several businesses since he retired. One was a woodshop where he built furniture, then a rock shop, then an antique shop, and a bookstore. He also prospected for gold and wrote poetry in his free time. He has authored two unpublished children's books as well.
