Following the success of their first wedding - an upscale affair at Ashbridge House in Hertfordshire for over 100 guests - the team at Ellesu is pleased to be announcing that they can now cater weddings for up to 100 guests, or more, throughout the county.
A spokesperson for the caterers said of their first wedding experience, “With a guest list of 100 attendees, Ellesu embraced the challenge of presenting a diverse array of Nigerian flavors, creating an unforgettable culinary experience for the newlyweds and their guests.”
Serving traditional Nigerian dishes like Jollof rice, stick beef, fish, plantain, Moinmoin, fried yam, Abacha, and more, the head chef at Ellesu turned comforting Nigerian classics into an elegant buffet-style food service. Their catering included a canape-style service post-ceremony, as well as an extended main course that allowed guests to sample all the unique dishes they had made.
For dessert, Ellesu ran with the brief of a reimagined wedding cake and commissioned lighting and staging to create an illuminated and revolving Puff-Puff croquembouche-style tower, transforming the famous Nigerian fried dough balls into a work of edible art.
The kitchen and serving team at Ellesu are now looking forward to creating similarly elevated menus and food experiences for other weddings in the Hertfordshire area.
