Pre-seed Carbon Removal Team Pull To Refresh Poised To Sink Seaweed In The Caribbean With Unmanned Vessels

SAN FRANCISCO & COLON, Panama - Sept. 1, 2022 - PRLog -- Ocean-based climate solution company Pull To Refresh Inc. has joined Autodesk's Technology Impact Program, which donates software to nonprofits and social impact startups using design for environmental or social good.

Autodesk has awarded Pull To Refresh with the use of powerful creative tools including Inventor, Revit, Maya, AutoCAD and more valued at $151,060. Pull To Refresh is utilizing Autodesk's software to design the unmanned, solar-powered vessels they are deploying to sink seaweed in the deep sea for durable emission reversal and invasive species reduction.

The passionate team at Pull To Refresh has a mission to restore and maintain a planetary climate that ensures a safe, equitable, & prosperous future for all. Earlier this year, Pull To Refresh qualified for Phase I of the $100M XPRIZE Carbon Removal competition funded by the Musk Foundation, and they have been nominated for the 2022 Earthshot Prize by Volans.

"It's been a quantum leap forward for our workflow - our team of dedicated volunteers is now able to have complete control of every step of the design process, from concept to manufacturing - and these design methods can help us reach the scale necessary to make a huge difference in the global climate crisis." - Christian Robinson, Co-Founder of Pull To Refresh, Los Angeles, USA

"The Autodesk design and platform tools have connected our growing team of people from across the globe to be able to work together to design and create things to the likes of which would be impossible without this incredible software." - Winston Horton, Pull To Refresh Team Member, Owner of American Design Solutions, West Palm Beach, USA

"I wanted to create a climate solution, but didn't know where to get started. Then I found Pull To Refresh and realized that with this team, I'll get so much farther so much faster. When they offered me full access to the Autodesk suite, it was really a no-brainer." Dishang Patil, Pull To Refresh Team Member, Freelance 3D Modeler, New Delhi, India

Pull To Refresh has already deployed two prototypes on a lake in California and demonstrated key components of their system to qualified third-party verifiers from companies such as Tesla and Raytheon Technologies. The team is on schedule to demonstrate a fully-functioning seaweed gathering and sinking system in the Caribbean in the next six months.

The startup also recently joined the newly launched Carbon Business Council, a coalition of more than 50 carbon management companies working together to advance the carbon removal industry.
