China’s Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Digital Economy Application Center landed in Shenzhen

On December 28th, with the approval of Computational Economics Research Institute of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Science and Technology Innovation Base of Eurasian Academy of Sciences (China), “Digital Economy Application Center” was established in Shenzhen.

 

It is reported that the International Eurasian Academy of Sciences is a scientific group composed of famous scientists, technical experts and cultural activists from all over the world. Approved by the then State Science and Technology Commission and registered by the State Administration of Public Institutions, the China Science Center of the International Eurasian Academy of Sciences was established in Beijing in 1995. There are more than 200 academicians in China Science Center, most of whom are academicians of Chinese Academy of Sciences and Chinese Academy of Engineering. In 2019, according to the development needs of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area’s science and technology innovation strategy, the Eurasian Academy of Sciences (China) Cloud Computing Center, Greater Bay Area Science and Technology Innovation Base, Global Doctoral Innovation Community and Computational Economics Research Institute were established one after another.

 

In recent years, Shenzhen has focused on digital industrialization and industrial digitalization in the application of digital economy, and accelerated the development of digital economy innovation and development pilot zone, which has achieved remarkable results. The total added value and proportion of core industries of Shenzhen digital economy rank first in China. In the past three years, Shenzhen has become the first pilot city of blockchain electronic invoice in China; Shenzhen Baoan Sports Center parking lot is connected to blockchain electronic invoice, realizing the true meaning of “unattended parking operation and maintenance”; Shenzhen subway code and some Shenzhen-Hong Kong taxis simultaneously launch blockchain electronic invoices, which brings convenient electronic invoice service experience for Shenzhen citizens to travel. Shenzhen has speeded up the pace of new fiscal and taxation digital infrastructure, linked the regulatory side and bilateral transactions, solved the compliance and regulatory problems, and realized the digital empowerment of industrial transactions.

 

It is understood that in the application of digital economy, Shenzhen has accelerated the introduction of digital economy industry promotion regulations, artificial intelligence industry promotion regulations and intelligent networked automobile management regulations to create the best digital environment. Shenzhen focuses on building broadband network communication, semiconductors and integrated circuits, ultra-high definition video display, intelligent terminals, intelligent sensors and intelligence robots. Intelligent networking of digital economy industrial clusters such as automobiles, software and information services, digital creativity, etc., to study and formulate industrial cluster action plans and supporting fund policies. Shenzhen has formulated the “Three-year Action Plan for Innovation and Development of Industrial Internet and Related Supporting Policies” to cultivate and strengthen the industrial Internet platform, expand the application of industrial Internet integration and innovation, and promote the digital transformation and high-quality development of manufacturing industry.

The establishment of “Digital Economy Application Center” will be based in Shenzhen, covering Greater Bay Area, aiming at the application direction of digital economy, aiming at the goal of building Shenzhen into a national innovative city, focusing on the economic and social development, the overall layout of scientific and technological innovation, scientific and technological industries and other work priorities, giving full play to its advantages of cross-integration and internationalization of natural science, engineering technology, humanities and social sciences, and providing high-end services such as corresponding achievements, talents and ideas for Shenzhen’s development planning and brand promotion. The “Digital Economy Application Center” will take charge of major economic and social fields in Greater Bay Area, upgrade key technologies and advantageous industries, integrate innovative resources, smooth communication channels, strengthen financial support, expand service platforms and promote enterprise chain reform.

Taking the establishment of “Digital Economy Application Center” as an opportunity, with the help of Internet, big data, artificial intelligence and other digital technologies, it is deeply integrated with modern manufacturing, business finance, cultural consumption, education and health, circulation and travel, enterprise chain reform, etc., to comprehensively promote the healthy development of the digital economy and make positive contributions to ensuring people’s life and production operation.

At the same time as the unveiling ceremony of Digital Economy Application Center, China (Shenzhen) Forum on Healthy Development of Digital Economy was also held. Forum guests elaborated and analyzed the background significance, resource allocation, industrial application and service level of the healthy development of digital economy.
