ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - October 17, 2022 - (Newswire.com)
Social Venture Partners Tampa Bay (SVPTB) is part of a global collective of successful professionals who leverage their time, expertise, and resources to develop strong nonprofits in their communities. SVPTB partners invest their time and talent in innovative nonprofits while actively nurturing their investments with personal guidance and resources.
Established in 2017, Social Venture Partners Fast Pitch is a celebration of our community, and the amazing work nonprofits do daily. Thanks to the support of Community Foundation Tampa Bay, Fast Pitch is entering its sixth year. Each year, a select group of nonprofit organizations is chosen from a competitive application pool. Selection criteria are based on a process that utilizes the targeted focus areas of the Community Foundation of Tampa Bay's competitive grant cycle. Organizations must demonstrate the degree to which their approaches to pressing issues give them a competitive advantage to increase social impact significantly. Winning organizations are awarded unrestricted grant funding.
Throughout the 16-week program, participating organizations get lessons on operations, marketing, finance, law, and the art of storytelling. Each nonprofit works with a partner or mentor to develop a three-minute pitch detailing the mission of their organization and the social enterprise that helps fund their programs.
At the annual competition, Fast Pitch participants light up the audience with their passion and dedication to their causes.
