Mark Hadley's Linoleum Original Score to be Released

By: PRLog

LOS ANGELES - Feb. 16, 2023 - PRLog -- Mark Hadley's score to the upcoming film, Linoleum, is getting a digital release on February 24, 2023. The album consists of 15 original tracks. The film, written and directed by Colin West, is getting distributed by Shout! Studios in select theaters and VOD February 24, 2023. The film stars Jim Gaffigan (Hotel Transylvania series), Rhea Seehorn (Better Call Saul), Katelyn Nacon (The Walking Dead), Gabriel Rush (Moonrise Kingdom), Amy Hargreaves (Homeland), Michael Ian Black (Inside Amy Schumer) and Tony Shalhoub (Monk). Hadley's other credits include Cranked Up Films' Double Walker, Blumhouse's Into the Dark: My Valentine and TV Land's The Exes to name a few. The score will be available on all major digital sites including iTunes, Spotify, Amazon and Apple Music.

When discussing his work on the film Hadley says, "Linoleum is my second feature film collaboration with writer & director Colin West, and was a delightful project to be a part of. The score I wrote is a coalescence of organic and synthetic instrumentation. I utilized synthesizers and other electronic textures to bolster the role of space and astronomy in the film, and juxtaposed those tones with more human elements like piano and a string quartet to compliment the warmth and heartfelt nature of the story."

Linoleum synopsis: Cameron Edwin (Gaffigan), the host of a failing children's science TV show called Above & Beyond, has always had aspirations of being an astronaut. After a mysterious space-race era satellite coincidentally falls from space and lands in his backyard, his midlife crisis manifests in a plan to rebuild the machine into his dream rocket. As his relationship with his wife (Seehorn) and daughter (Nacon) start to strain, surreal events begin unfolding around him -- a doppelgänger moving into the house next door, a car falling from the sky, and an unusual teenage boy forging a friendship with him. He slowly starts to piece these events together to ultimately reveal that there's more to his life story than he once thought.
