Hawkins' nomination is based in part upon the performance and songwriting of his newest single release "Movin' Down The Road." The 2023 HIMAwards event will take place on August 17, 2023, at The Avalon theater in the entertainment capital of the world, Hollywood, California. Hawkins recently took home seven accolades among an international collective of major independent artists at the Indie Music Channel Awards, hosted at the historic Sunset Gower Movie Studios in Hollywood. He won awards for: Best Blues Artist, Best Songwriter (Blues), Best Live Blues Performance, Best Blues Producer, Best Live Performance (Rock), Artist of the Year, and Producer of the Year.
