In accordance with paragraph 9.6.14 of the Listing Rules, it is confirmed that
Peter Johnson has been appointed as Deputy Chairman of The Rank Group Plc with
effect from 1 January 2007 and that he will assume the role of Chairman with
effect from 1 March 2007.
