Section 1 – Registrant's Business and Operations
Item 1.01 Entry into a Material Definitive Agreement
On June 6, 2005, Chesapeake Energy Corporation entered into a Purchase Agreement to issue and sell to Wachovia Capital Markets, LLC $600 million principal amount of the Company’s 6.25% Senior Notes due 2018. The senior notes are to be issued under an indenture dated as of June 20, 2005. A copy of the press release announcing the pricing of the 6.25% senior notes due 2018 was filed under Item 8.01 of our Form 8-K dated June 7, 2005.
