In a space where competitors showcase garments on the catwalk that are unflattering, impractical and fail to take into account a real woman’s measurements, Red Violet Clothing has opted to be a little more. The Red Violet Clothing launch event kicked off with a fashion parade and patrons had the chance to see the Winter 24 collection with its custom designed A line shirt dresses, wrap dresses and separates made in Australia. Dozens of patrons stayed and tried on the garments, enjoyed some light refreshments and a chat with designer Michelle Gilks. Attendees were provided the first opportunity to purchase shirt dresses and other garments before the limited edition stock runs out.
When asked about the fashion parade event, Michelle Gilks (Designer and Founder), said "We wanted to allow women to try on the garments and feel the quality in the fabric, as well as see the clothing on women of many ages and sizes. I was able to gain first hand feedback from customers. The event was so worthwhile and I’m hoping I managed to convey the empowering nature of these clothes, such as the cleverly shaped shirt dress. I want my customers to know that it is my mission to make them feel special with garments that won't go out of fashion."
The fabrics are unique and custom designed. Every item of clothing has been produced in a very small production run, ensuring exclusivity to the wearer. The garments are tailored to women's changing figures, cleverly designed to skim the tummy and show off their best features.
